Ed Kostro is an animal and nature lover, shelter volunteer, and now, a Hurricane Katrina pet rescuer. He is also a published writer whose credits include Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul; Cats Do It Better than People; Pets: part of the family; and numersous other publications. He as written five books including is nonfiction memoir, "Curious Creatures-Wondrous Waifs, My Life with Animals, which was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in the 2004 International Cat Writers' Association Communication Contest.
